The artist Giuseppe Carta celebrated and paid tribute to the RED ONION OF TROPEA by installing a large, sculptural onion of one and a half meters at TROPEA CIPOLLA PARTY 2019.
As the Master of the great Fruits of the Earth, the artist Giuseppe Carta is widely recognised and accepted the invitation by the City of Tropea to participate and attend the great event dedicated to the Red Onion of Tropea, which was inaugurated in the beautiful and charming Calabrian town on Friday 26 April 2019.
Giuseppe Carta's sculptures, peppers, pomegranates, bunches of grapes, strawberries, lemons and tomatoes with impressive shapes and sizes have been appreciated by thousands and thousands of people in Italy and abroad.
Sculptural installations that have enriched locations of great international prestige such as the Venice Biennale, Expo Milano 2015, Fico Eataly World in Bologna, the Tenuta Vitivinicole di Fontanafredda, the city of Pietrasanta, the Teatro del Silenzio by Andrea Bocelli, the Colosseum of Rome, Euroflora Genova, the Swabian castles of Puglia and in China in the cities of Chongqing and Chengdu.
